Another Fun Announcement!

Look I do try to only send a raven once a month, but occasionally something fun pops up that requires corvine intervention.

This is NOT the big announcement I thought I’d be making—I’m still waiting to share that news—but in the meantime….

You can now read Ex Cinere, a piece of flash fiction I wrote last year that just went up online at Flash Fiction Magazine!

I’m a big fan of flash fiction. It’s a great way to practice structuring a story, quick characterization, and paring down your prose (you only get 999 words, so they all have to count!) Plus, you can experiment with a voice or genre or mood without committing yourself to it for 70,0000 words.

I really enjoyed writing this story, so I hope you enjoy reading it. Now send the raven back quickly before he steals your shiny treasures!
